This joyful artwork from the “Women's Whims” series consists of two main characters - a cheerful girl, maybe a bit tipsy, having fun in a company of her friend, who happens to be a Cat, wearing dark sunglasses…
I started this work outdoors and suddenly a strong wind and rain started… the paint started flowing freely into the silk. So you may say that the girl’s hairstyle is fully caused by the forces of nature.
This artwork is made with use of complicated techniques, including cold batik with salts, hot batik, and painting. This artwork is painted on the natural silk cloth with professional German silk paints, batik textile dyes, waxes, etc (KREUL Javana). The paint is water based, has no smell, and is fade and wash resistant (after fixing).
